Something to Remember
With September 1 quickly approaching, I can’t help but think back to when I was in your shoes. I remember the nerves, the pressure, and the feeling that this date meant everything. I was told this advice countless times, and honestly, I hated hearing it—but now I know it’s true: you are going to end up where you were meant to be.
The most important thing to take away from this process is simple. If you’ve truly given everything you have to being the best player you can be, hold your head high—you did the work. If deep down you know you didn’t give it everything, then let this moment be the turning point. Start now. Put in the effort. Align your actions with your goals.
Remember, recruiting is not a straight path. Just this week, one school had six 2026 commits decommit. Every year, players switch schools, change commitments, and new opportunities open up. The landscape of women’s college lacrosse is always shifting.
Your responsibility is to keep working, keep growing, and keep striving to be the best version of yourself. Control what you can control. Put in the work today so your goals tomorrow are within reach.
With you always,
Sofia
