Focus on the Controllables

Today, while working on my website, I ran into Emme Hnath—an Episcopal lacrosse player committed to William & Mary. Seeing her brought me back to August of 2021. I was heading into my senior year—still uncommitted—and feeling stressed. I believed I could play at the highest level, but nothing was guaranteed.

Then something clicked: I stopped worrying about offers and focused on what I could control—me. I added an extra training session every day. That small mindset shift changed everything.

Here’s my message to you:

Control what you can.

If you want to play college lacrosse, act like a college athlete today. Train with purpose. Stay consistent. And trust that your hard work will lead you exactly where you're meant to be.

There’s a school out there for you.

Let your effort—not your fear—lead the way.
