Football Season is Back!

There’s just something about fall and the return of football. I never realized how much I loved the game until I got to college. It’s not just about what happens on the field—it’s the whole experience. Dressing in school colors, tailgating with friends, meeting new people, and then cheering on your team under the lights. That energy is what first made me want to become an NFL sideline reporter.

As much as I love football, I dream of one day seeing that same passion and support poured into women’s sports—especially lacrosse. In my opinion, women’s lacrosse is the most exciting female sport out there. The games are fast-paced, high scoring, and demand incredible athleticism and hand-eye coordination. If we keep showcasing our skills and strength, I believe the sport will grow into a professional league where women can make a living playing the game they love.

Until then, it’s on us as athletes to give our communities a reason to show up, to get behind our sport, and to feel the same excitement we feel when we step on the field. Tonight, I’ll be in the stands cheering for USF football—and of course, for my boyfriend Jaja—but I’ll also be fired up for the chance we’ll soon have to show off what women’s lacrosse is all about.

PS: If you’re not already supporting your local high school sports, start now. Go beyond just football—show up for volleyball, cross country, soccer, and every fall sport. We grow stronger as athletes and communities when we lift one another up.
