Celebrating Ellie 💛

Today, October 26th, my beautiful cousin Ellie Bowerman turns 17 — and I couldn’t be prouder to celebrate her.

Ellie is one of the most amazing young women I’ve ever met. Born with Down syndrome, she’s taught everyone around her what it truly means to live with love, joy, and purpose. She’s removed the letters “dis” from disability and replaced them with ability — every single day.

Her parents, my aunt and uncle, have raised her with strength, compassion, and determination. They’ve fought to make sure Ellie has every opportunity their other three kids have — and in doing so, the Bowerman family has become an example of what it means to lead with heart and challenge outdated perceptions.

But the biggest reason I wanted to spotlight Ellie is simple — because I love her. I’m inspired by her spirit, her light, and the way she makes everyone feel seen and loved. I can’t wait to watch her continue to shine and accomplish incredible things.
